“I actually encountered someone handing out Create Talents namecards on my way to the MRT. It seemed very interesting, so I decided to give it a go, and turnes out it went pretty well. My favourite and most memorable job I had done is probably the Zurich advert, where I was dressed as a nerd. It kind of changed my self-image, and I was amused by the way I looked in the outfit. The crew were pretty cool, and that really made an impression on me. Other than the Zurich ad, I’ve also done a job for Philips and Cathay, in addition to other smaller projects. I find that the dressing up and becoming someone else, aspect of modeling, appeals to me significantly, because it’s different and quite interesting. Ever since I started modeling, my self-esteem has gone up, because it takes a considerable amount of confidence to be able to call yourself a model, eventhough it is just a a profession, there is still a certain stereotype and attribute to the term.
Being comfortable in what you are wearing is also quite a valuable insight I have come to realise from being a model at Create Talents Pte Ltd, as a potentially fun, exciting experience could turn sour if you are not comfortable and confident in your appearance. I love films, watching films, creating films, pretty much everything about films, so I feel fortunate that I am doing something that is kind of connected with something that I love. Create Talents has done a lot for me, and I remember my family being surprised when my hair was changed up for a shoot, so that was quite fun. The experience I got here, thanks to Create Talents and Models, has spurred me on to desire more and bigger jobs in the future. It would be great when the time comes where people recognise me from the adverts I’m in. I am very pleased and happy with Create Talents so far, and I hope it continues to be that way and better, hopefully with even more jobs and more public exposure.”
